Heli & Liam’s Heartfelt Evergreen Colorado Summer Wedding
Heli & Liam’s wedding at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses was the kind of day that reminds us why we built this place in the first place — heartfelt, personal, and full of warmth. Their afternoon ceremony flowed naturally into a golden-hour cocktail hour along the treelined driveway and a joyful dinner reception on the mountain-view deck. Every detail reflected their story — intentional, laid-back, and beautifully Colorado.

The Ceremony
Their ceremony took place in Juniper’s meadow, surrounded by pines and accented with soft terrarium florals and lush greenery from Eleven Blooms. Heli walked through the woods to acoustic guitar by Ronin Kiekbusch, meeting Liam beneath a wooden arch layered in summer blooms.
In classic Colorado fashion, a light rain began halfway through their vows — turning everything golden and sparkling under the trees. Thunder clapped at just the right moment to add a little drama. It felt grounding, real, and unforgettable.
Cocktail Hour & Dinner Reception
As guests followed the tree-lined path back toward the lodge, The Wandering Wagon mobile bar rolled in for cocktail hour. Specialty cocktails greeted guests while Alexa Kilgore Acoustic played live music.
Dinner, catered by Biscuits & Berries, was served on the mountain-view deck beneath glowing chandeliers. Tables were dressed in mossy greens and rose-gold flatware, with terrarium centerpieces that glowed as dusk settled in.Guests received custom Juniper mugs personalized with the wedding date and the couple’s names.
They ended the night surrounded by friends, laughter, and pie instead of cake — exactly the kind of celebration that feels true to Juniper.
From Bride to Planner
After the wedding, Heli joined McArthur Weddings & Events as a lead planner, the same team that coordinated her day at Juniper. It’s hard to imagine a more full-circle story: a bride who fell in love with the magic of this place and now helps other couples create their own version of it.
