A Warm, Design-Forward Celebration in the Colorado Mountains

Cathy Lee and Cody’s Evergreen Colorado fall wedding at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses was a perfect mix of elegance, warmth, and personality. Designed and styled by McArthur Weddings & Events, the day felt intentional down to every last detail—layered textures, rich earth tones, and cozy lighting that made the whole lodge glow.

From the moment guests arrived, welcomed by mountain air and the sound of live acoustic guitar, the atmosphere felt effortless and joyful—a celebration deeply rooted in love, family, and the Colorado outdoors.

Getting Ready in the Foothills

The morning began in nearby Golden, where Kim J Beauty worked her magic on hair and makeup. Cathy Lee got ready with coffee, brunch, and happy chaos before stepping into her gown. Meanwhile, Cody and his crew suited up at a nearby lodge before heading out for their first look and portraits at Squaw Pass—complete with sweeping mountain views and the soft light that makes fall in Evergreen so cinematic.

A Ceremony Among the Trees

By afternoon, the meadow at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses had transformed into a natural work of art. McArthur Weddings & Events created a warm, modern setting with plum and rust tones, deep greenery, and candlelight woven through every detail. RLY RLY Florals added a sculptural floral arch that complemented the surrounding forest without overpowering it.

Guests followed a forest path to the ceremony site as Alexa Kilgore performed “Wildflowers.” Cathy Lee made her solo entrance through the trees, framed by golden light. Her grandfather, Sherman, officiated a ceremony filled with laughter, emotion, and heartfelt vows that drew tears and cheers in equal measure.

Cocktails, Donkeys & Dancing Under the Pines

After the ceremony, guests were greeted by Rocky Mountain Beverage Burros, trotting up Juniper’s treelined driveway with baskets of chilled beer and seltzers. The couple snuck away for a private toast before joining cocktail hour, where Alexa performed live acoustic sets that carried through the forest.

Dinner from House & Howell featured a beautifully styled taco bar set across Juniper’s mountain deck, complete with layered textures, amber glassware, and soft candlelight. After toasts and laughter under the stars, the night transitioned seamlessly with live music from Alexa’s band, Hummingbirds & the Spoon, and dessert from CAK the Bakery—a mix of cake, churros, and pure happiness.
