Marissa & Jared’s Intimate Spring Wedding at Juniper
Marissa and Jared planned an intimate spring wedding at Juniper that felt relaxed, joyful, and deeply personal. With 19 guests and a full weekend celebration, their wedding focused on connection, music, and time spent together in the Colorado foothills. Their ceremony and reception took place at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses, planned by McArthur Weddings & Events, where the meadow, lodge, and deck created a natural flow for a small, intentional wedding day.
A Thoughtful Wedding Weekend
The celebration began on Friday with a rehearsal at Juniper. Later that evening, guests gathered for a casual welcome BBQ at a nearby VRBO, giving everyone time to settle in and reconnect before the wedding day. By Saturday morning, the weekend already felt warm and familiar.
A Calm Wedding Morning
Saturday began with rentals arriving from Event Rents, setting the stage for the meadow ceremony and deck reception. Florals from The Ruffly Rose added soft spring color and texture to the space. Marissa started hair and makeup offsite while lunch waited for the wedding party. The timeline stayed relaxed and unhurried, exactly as planned.
Getting Ready at Juniper
Marissa arrived at Juniper and got ready in the Aspen room with her parents nearby. Jared arrived dressed and ready in the Boxelder room. Guests checked into lodge rooms throughout the afternoon, filling the property with quiet anticipation. Before seeing Jared, Marissa shared a first look with her dad. Soon after, the couple met on the bridge for their first look together, captured beautifully by Tayler Carlisle Photography.
The Meadow Ceremony
Guests arrived by shuttle with West Wing Limousine and gathered in the meadow at 4:30 pm. Live music by Alexa Kilgore Music set the tone as Marissa and Jared walked down the aisle to songs performed just for them. They exchanged vows, shared rings, and sealed the moment with a kiss before exiting together as a married couple. The ceremony felt heartfelt, warm, and completely unforced.
Cocktail Hour, Golden Hour, and a Private Toast
After group photos in the meadow, guests moved to the deck for cocktail hour. The bar opened, appetizers were served, and conversation flowed easily. Marissa and Jared stepped away for golden hour photos before sharing a private toast in the upper lounge. They signed their marriage license together, then returned to cocktail hour to celebrate with their guests.
Dinner, Dancing, and a Relaxed Evening
Dinner on the deck featured catering by House & Howell, served as the evening light softened around the property. Live music continued for the first dances, keeping the energy personal and intimate. Heartfelt toasts followed, along with cake from CAK the Bakery and late-night churros. Guests danced, talked, and lingered well into the evening. Shuttles returned guests later that night, and the celebration wrapped quietly at Juniper.

Why an Intimate Spring Wedding at Juniper Works So Well
An intimate spring wedding at Juniper allows couples to slow down and stay present. Smaller guest counts create space for live music, flexible timelines, and meaningful moments throughout the day. Juniper supports weddings that feel personal rather than produced. Couples can enjoy the full weekend without feeling rushed or overextended.
