An Intimate Family Celebration at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses

Some weddings just fit the people getting married. Sam and Cody’s Evergreen Colorado wedding did. It was simple, heartfelt, and exactly what it needed to be — a small circle of twenty loved ones, golden light over the meadow, and a ceremony led by Sam’s mom that felt more like a family gathering than an event.

The Meadow Ceremony

Guests made their way down the wooded path to Juniper Lodge & Treehouses, one of Evergreen’s most scenic wedding venues. The meadow was quiet except for the soft sound of Tyler Childers drifting through the speakers and the wind moving through the trees.

Cody walked with his mom, followed by Sam and her dad, each step slow and steady. When Sam’s mom, Ann, began to speak, everyone stilled. Their dog, Nikita, trotted up right on cue with the rings — the kind of unscripted moment that makes small weddings feel alive.

They said their vows, laughed through a few happy tears, and sealed it all with a kiss as “All Yours” carried across the field.

Photos & Celebration in Golden

After the ceremony, Honey Lens Photos captured family portraits and golden-hour shots in the meadow before the couple headed down to Cast Iron Tavern in Golden for dinner with their loved ones.

The evening was laid-back and full of warmth — a small group gathered around good food, laughter, and stories. By the time Sam and Cody returned to Juniper that night, the mountains were quiet again — a perfect close to their Evergreen Colorado wedding.
