Jackie & Juan’s Colorado Mountain Wedding at Juniper

Jackie and Juan chose a crisp October weekend at Juniper for a celebration that felt warm, personal, and completely true to them. With the mountains turning toward late fall and just 25 of their closest people gathered, the day balanced emotion, ease, and a few sweet moments with their dogs — Albi and Shiner — who were part of the Colorado mountain wedding from start to finish.

Getting Ready in Conifer

The morning began at an Airbnb in Conifer, where Jackie, her attendants, and her family spent the day getting ready. Hair and makeup moved steadily through the schedule, with brunch available while everyone rotated through their appointments. Tayler Carlisle Photography started coverage here, capturing the quiet parts of the day before the celebration picked up speed.

Arriving at Juniper

When the wedding party arrived at Juniper, the lodge was already glowing with fall florals from Snowberry Floral Co. and music drifting in as Alexa Kilgore warmed up on her guitar. Jackie slipped into her gown, took a breath, and stepped into the bar lounge for portraits. Juan arrived with his family and the dogs, full of excitement and nerves in the best way.

A Meadow Ceremony with Their Dogs

The ceremony took place in Juniper’s meadow, framed by golden leaves and quiet mountain air. Jackie walked in with her father to a violin version of Daylight, and the emotion on Joan’s face said everything before a single vow was spoken.

Their dogs trotted proudly down the aisle with the wedding party, earning smiles from everyone. The ceremony, led by Jackie’s brother, was simple and heartfelt: a welcome, reflections on their relationship, personal vows, rings, and a kiss that opened the door to this new chapter.

Cocktail Hour and Time to Breathe

After the ceremony, guests gathered on the deck for cocktails while Jackie and Juan stayed behind for a few portraits in the meadow. They also exchanged private vows — a quiet moment the two of them wanted to save for themselves. When they stepped back inside, they shared a private toast upstairs with their signature drinks and a small plate of appetizers, taking a moment to soak everything in before the reception began.

A Cozy Fall Reception on the Deck

Their reception carried the same relaxed, personal energy. Alexa sang live as the sun dropped behind the pines. Dinner was warm and unfussy, followed by heartfelt toasts from their closest people. For dessert, guests roasted s’mores by the firepit or grabbed treats inside the bar.

Jackie and Juan shared their first dance to Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls, then moved into parent dances as the deck lights glowed around them. Dancing picked up quickly after that, and the whole evening felt easy and joyful — exactly what they hoped for.

A Soft, Sparkling Goodbye

Before the night wrapped, guests gathered with wands for the couple’s exit filled with laughter and a few happy tears. It was a bright, sweet ending to a Colorado mountain wedding that felt full of meaning from the first moment to the last.
