A Fall Queer Colorado Mountain Wedding
Sarah and Kellie’s Evergreen Colorado fall wedding at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses in Evergreen, Colorado was a perfect blend of mountain beauty and heartfelt celebration. Surrounded by towering pines and golden aspens, forty guests gathered for an intimate day filled with laughter, love, and stunning views of the Colorado foothills.
Getting Ready
The morning began at a nearby Airbnb with Nomadic Beauty for hair and makeup. At Juniper, McArthur Weddings & Events coordinated rentals from Allwell Rentals, while RLY RLY filled the meadow and deck with soft fall blooms.
First Look & Photos in the Foothills
Photographer Kate Ivy captured the couple’s first look at Mestaa’ehehe Pass, a scenic overlook near Juniper, followed by portraits among the aspens before heading to Juniper for the ceremony.
Ceremony in the Meadow
At 4 p.m., guests followed a wooded trail to Juniper’s Meadow Ceremony Site, where Front Range Strings performed as the couple walked hand in hand down the aisle together. Beneath the trees, Sarah and Kellie exchanged personal vows and sealed their marriage to the sound of “Here Comes the Sun.”
Cocktail Hour & Golden Hour
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed craft cocktails from The Wandering Wagon and passed appetizers along Juniper’s treelined driveway while the couple took a private moment in Juniper’s upper lobby.
Dinner & Dancing
Dinner from Biscuits & Berries was served family-style on the Mountain View Deck, followed by toasts, cake from Snowstorm Sweets, and dancing under the stars. Guests enjoyed cookie skillets, the Chipper Booth photo booth, and the warm glow of light as music carried through the Evergreen night. The night ended with toasts and dancing beneath the stars — the perfect close to an Evergreen Colorado fall wedding weekend.
