Nikki & Kyle’s Evergreen Colorado Wedding at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses
Some weddings feel like they could only happen once—and Nikki and Kyle’s was one of them. Their August at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses blended a little disco, a little mountain magic, sunshine, and even hail!
A Relaxed Morning & Mountain Prep
The morning started in Parker, Colorado, where Nikki got ready at her family’s home surrounded by laughter and friends. Hair and makeup wrapped just after lunch, and McArthur Weddings & Events arrived to pick up the florals—classic with a wild edge, full of soft greens and delicate texture.
Kyle spent the morning in Denver, having brunch with family and friends before heading up the mountain.
By midafternoon, both parties made their way to Evergreen, where Colorado Party Rentals had already delivered the rentals and Biscuits & Berries was setting up for dinner.
A Ceremony to Remember
When the ceremony began, “This Must Be the Place” by Talking Heads played as Kyle took his place in the meadow. Moments later, Nikki walked down the aisle to Led Zeppelin’s “In the Light,” sunlight flickering through the trees.
Halfway through their vows, the weather unexpectedly turned—sunshine to hail in true Colorado fashion—but no one moved. Umbrellas popped open, laughter broke out, and the couple just smiled through it all. It was authentic, unforgettable, and perfectly them.
Cocktails, Oysters & Celebration
After the kiss, guests headed to the mountain view deck to dry off and enjoy a raw bar from The Oyster Bae. The mix of mountain air, disco ball décor, and fresh oysters made the scene feel effortlessly cool.
Biscuits & Berries served an elegant buffet dinner under the evening sky, and the repurposed florals from Jenifer Arseneault added soft, organic color to each table. Guests toasted with champagne, laughed through the speeches, and lingered in the glow of lights.
Dancing Through the Night
As the sun set, Peyton Hayez Photo captured golden-hour portraits before Nikki and Kyle’s first dance to “Vienna” by Billy Joel. When Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” kicked in, the deck turned into a dance floor. Fans with their dogs’ names—Scout and Lucy—were passed out for guests. The night closed with a private last dance to “Home” by Jack Johnson before their sparkler-style sendoff. It was emotional, fun, and fully true to who they are.
