Peter & Marilia’s Snowy Evergreen, Colorado Wedding

Colorado spring weddings don’t follow rules, and Peter and Marilia leaned all the way in. On Saturday, April 20, 2024, they were married at Juniper during a gentle spring snowfall. It was quiet, emotional, and deeply personal—the kind of snowy Evergreen, Colorado wedding that feels calm from start to finish, even with 50 loved ones present.

A Slow, Intentional Start

The day began off site, giving everyone space to ease into the morning. While the wedding party got ready and the guys enjoyed a relaxed morning activity, there was no rush. By mid-afternoon, everyone arrived at Juniper ready and settled. Marilia slipped into her dress at Juniper just after 3:00 PM, followed by a private first look with her father. Shortly after, Peter arrived, and the couple shared their first look together on site—one of those quiet moments that set the tone for the entire day. Katie Jane Photography captured it all with a soft, documentary style that fit the snowy afternoon perfectly.

Wedding Party Photos & Ceremony

After their first look, the wedding party gathered for photos around Juniper, taking advantage of the fresh snow and overcast light. By 4:45, everyone tucked away as guests arrived and the ceremony prelude began. At 5:00 PM, Peter and Marilia were married on the Mountain View Deck as snow all around them. The setting felt peaceful and intimate, with the trees and mountains doing most of the work.

Cocktail Hour at Juniper

Following the ceremony, family photos took place while guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour at Juniper. Beer, wine, and a trail mix bar added a cozy, mountain touch, giving everyone time to mingle before heading into the evening. By 6:30, Peter and Marilia stepped away for a brief private moment together while guests departed for the reception—one last pause before the celebration continued.

An Evergreen Reception at El Rancho

The evening picked back up at El Rancho Brewery, where guests gathered for a warm, lively reception. Peter and Marilia made their grand entrance just before 7:00 PM, followed by dinner, toasts from the best man and maid of honor, and cake cutting. Their first dance opened the dance floor, and from there the night flowed easily—dancing, conversation, and celebration without pressure or production. The evening wrapped up with a joyful grand exit , closing out a day that felt steady, meaningful, and true to them.

A Snowy April Wedding Done Right

Peter and Marilia’s wedding is a reminder that you don’t need perfect weather or elaborate plans for a perfect day. Sometimes all you need is the right people, a beautiful setting, and the willingness to let the moment unfold. We loved hosting their snowy Evergreen, Colorado wedding at Juniper.

“Juniper was the perfect choice to host our wedding this past weekend. We chose the venue for it’s natural beauty, great accommodations, and proximity to Denver. The owners made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process and were very flexible and accommodating. The day before our wedding, Denver / Evergreen got hit with an unexpected blizzard, and this only added to the beauty of the location. Every single person at our intimate wedding commented on how much they loved the venue, and we look forward to coming back every year during our anniversary. I highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay for the night or as wedding venue. The venue & owners will not leave you disappointed.”    – Peter
