A Snowy Evergreen Colorado Wedding for Jo & Josh
Jo and Josh’s snowy Evergreen Colorado wedding at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses was the kind of day that feels cinematic — snow falling gently over the deck, laughter echoing through the mountains, and two people completely in their element. It was intimate, joyful, and beautifully Colorado.
A Cozy Morning in the Mountains
The morning started quietly at an Evergreen Airbnb, where Katie Klein Makeup and Lacey Nichole Hair worked their magic while soft flakes began to fall outside. The energy in the house was calm but full of anticipation — family gathering in the kitchen, the smell of coffee, and Jo slipping into her gown from Evergreen Bridal.
Meanwhile, Tayler Carlisle Photography and Chris Rasmussen Films captured every moment: sentimental moments, final touches, and the kind of laughter that says “this is really happening.”
A Snow-Dusted First Look
Before heading to Juniper, Jo and Josh shared their first look at Three Sisters Park — surrounded by tall pines and a quiet blanket of snow. They read private vows, took in the stillness, and laughed as snowflakes clung to Jo’s veil. It was simple, cinematic, and perfectly them.
A Ceremony on the Deck
By mid-afternoon, the snow picked up — big, slow flakes falling as guests arrived at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses. The McArthur Weddings & Events team and Buffalo Gals Catering had the deck ready, heaters humming and candles flickering against the storm.
As acoustic music from Alexa Kilgore began, family made their way down the snowy aisle to “Over the Rainbow” by Eric Clapton, followed by Jo’s entrance to an acoustic version of “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain. Officiated by Woods and the Wild, their ceremony was full of warmth, humor, and happy tears — ending with a kiss and a joyful recessional to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.”
Cocktails, Dinner & Dancing
Guests headed inside for warmth and cocktails while the newlyweds shared a private toast upstairs. They joined their guests on the deck for their first dance to Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy,” surrounded by twinkling lights and the sound of soft snow. Dinner from Buffalo Gals followed, with heartfelt toasts from family and a blessing from Grandma Mae. Later, everyone gathered around for cake from Alyce in Flourland and a night of laughter, music, and dancing led by Alexa Kilgore.
As the evening wound down, “Piano Man” played as the last song — everyone singing along before Jo and Josh shared a private final dance to “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds.
